What are the benefits of rest? It would seem that the answer to this question is obvious. But not everyone understands the true importance of rest. Many people live for years without a vacation, and then do not know where they got their depression and dissatisfaction with life. And in fact, these things are interconnected. It is impossible to imagine a healthy and happy life without timely rest. Today I’m going to tell you all the benefits of walking in the park.

There is a mass misconception that vacation is an opportunity to finish all the tasks that have accumulated during the year. This is fundamentally wrong. Of course, part of the vacation can be spent on this, but in no case the whole. In addition, you cannot sit at home in front of the television, flipping through a magazine or doing the usual things. It is necessary to go somewhere. Need a change of scenery. Let it be a trip to the country house, by the sea, to visit, to a camping trip, it doesn’t matter. In any case, it is highly undesirable to spend your vacation at home. Why? During the year, a person is engaged in the usual, repetitive day-to-day activities. Woke up, had breakfast, went to work, worked, came home from work, had dinner, went to bed. And so every day. Sometimes some other items are added to this sequence, but in the end, the result is the same – there is a feeling of monotony. Then this feeling develops into moping, then – into depression. As a consequence – a large number of unhappy, dissatisfied with life.

It was a vacation that can bring a lot of vivid impressions, to charge the energy for the next year, to improve the quality of life. A proper vacation is always joyful emotions, exciting memories, vivacity, beautiful pictures to look at later, and be filled with vitality again.

Where Exactly Should You Walk?

Before we look for ways to make our walks in the fresh air more interesting, especially with children, I think we should define for ourselves why we need such walks in the first place. For a long time, medics have noticed that real fresh air in the woods, in the park, by the water improves well-being, not only emotionally but also physically. So the level of oxygen rises, the lungs work better, vision improves, and the cardiovascular system becomes stronger. Of course, because a person basically lives among the stone jungle, breathing polluted air instead of the necessary, healthy, and fresh. In addition, in the city do not often have to walk, but in the park for a walk – nice thing. But if you’re an adult, just walking around picturesque places, breathing fresh air and forgetting about all the problems and worries, can be considered an interesting vacation, but a child will be bored just looking at the trees and grass, although it is useful to walk it just as much as an adult.

As for Children

If a child is very small, then you can combine the pleasure with the user, that is, during a walk to start an educational program. In order for your baby to fully explore the world, you should not only be able to look at it, but also touch it. On a walk in the park, actually, there are a lot of topics for educational conversations. Of course, the child’s knowledge will be at an elementary level, but, nevertheless, it will remain in his head for life. After all, what we learn in childhood, as a rule, is remembered for a long time.

Another way to captivate yourself and your child during a walk in the park is a competition. Who will find more cones in 15 minutes? Or who will make the most beautiful bouquet for grandma/mommy? It’s easy to think it up, and even easier to make it a reality. You can also just collect all kinds of beautiful natural materials to make a painting or installation at home. For memory training, the forest is ideal, and you and the child. Look carefully around you, try to remember the smallest details, without which the forest – not a forest at all. And then close your eyes and try as much as possible to describe in detail your surroundings, and a child can check your memory.

Why Out of Town?

Walks in the woods can not replace any park. The forest offers a lot of additional activities: games, cafes, kebabs, sauna, snowmobile rides, skis, and sleds. Believe me, once a week to get out to rest – it’s absolutely inexpensive, but the child will get a huge charge of positive, cheerfulness, and your emotional condition will improve. The main advantage – the freedom. Here you can shout, jump, play “pirates” and look for “treasure. You can also pick berries, look at squirrels, hares, memorize or learn the names of plants, birds, and insects. And in the warm season, no one interferes with a picnic in the air and plenty of fun on clean green grass.
