So, the months-long stage of collecting information and accumulating money has passed, tickets have been bought, visas are ready, hotels are booked, the GPS program in the smartphone is ready – the long-awaited vacation has come.

The service at Cathay Pacific is quite good, although on the way back the plane was a bit old, but the quality of service remained good.

When drawing up the route, it was possible to take tickets through Seoul. We reasoned like this: we have already flown through the Seoul airport, we need to look at the Hong Kong one, especially since the reviews about it on the forums were quite good. I must say right away that we will try not to fly through Hong Kong anymore. The airport is large, spacious, but somehow gloomy, it cannot be compared with the airport in Seoul. He seemed especially gloomy on the way back when he was compared with Singaporean. Gloomy – in the literal sense, it feels like they are saving a lot on lighting there. The airport carpeting looks very old and dirty in many places. Air conditioning is working too hard at the airport. It is almost impossible to hide from them, if you decide to sit, you will certainly begin to freeze, so it is advisable to have some kind of jacket or jacket with you in your carry-on luggage. Otherwise, everything is in order here: there are a lot of seats, they are comfortable, there are sockets with various connectors for recharging mobile devices, many shops, a lot of cafes and clean toilets. If we try to give an objective assessment, the airport is very good (it became the best in the world several times), but it loses heavily to Incheon (Seoul) and even more so to Changi (Singapore). (ATTENTION! This opinion applies only to the first terminal. After a recent trip to Hong Kong through the second terminal, I can say that everything is much better there than in the first).

There is no point in talking about Changi airport, it belongs to the category “it is better to see once than hear a hundred times”. No wonder he became the best in the world 20 times! Clean, comfortable, cozy, comfortable, very interesting. I understand why the local population comes here just to relax. It is a pity that we did not have time to study it in more detail.
